Acceptable Use Policy

1. PURPOSE

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Hyrist Platform. This AUP is incorporated into and part of our Terms and Conditions. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. GENERAL PRINCIPLES

When using the Platform, you must:

  • Act professionally and respectfully
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Be honest and transparent in all interactions
  • Respect the rights of others
  • Use the Platform for its intended purposes

3. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

3.1 Illegal Activities

  • Engage in or facilitate illegal activity; violate laws; infringe IP; distribute controlled substances; facilitate trafficking or exploitation; money laundering; violate export/sanctions or tax laws

3.2 Fraudulent Conduct

  • False or misleading information; fake accounts or impersonation; false credentials; inflated ratings; bid rigging; fraudulent invoices; misrepresentation; stolen payment information

3.3 Abusive Behavior

  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, abuse; hate speech or discrimination; sexual harassment; bullying; stalking; doxxing; threats of violence

3.4 Discrimination

You may NOT discriminate based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital or family status, military status, or any other protected characteristic. Clients must comply with equal employment opportunity laws.

3.5 Platform Abuse

  • Circumvent fees or payments; process payments off-platform to avoid fees; multiple accounts to evade restrictions; share credentials; unauthorized bots or scraping; reverse engineering; unauthorized access; malware or harmful code

3.6 Spam and Unsolicited Contact

  • No unsolicited commercial messages, bulk messaging, unrelated marketing, phishing, or soliciting users to competing platforms

3.7 Inappropriate Content

  • No pornographic, sexually explicit, or adult content; no content involving minors inappropriately; no graphic violence; no content promoting self-harm; no illegal drugs, weapons, stolen/counterfeit goods; no IP violations or malware

3.8 Prohibited Services

  • Platform may not be used for adult or escort services; unlicensed gambling; MLM or pyramid schemes; get-rich-quick schemes; illegal financial services; unauthorized hacking; academic cheating; or services requiring special licensing without credentials

3.9 Platform Manipulation

  • No fake reviews or ratings; no incentives for positive reviews; no retaliatory negative reviews; no manipulation of search or visibility; no misleading job postings or fake projects; no artificial inflation of profile stats

3.10 Circumventing Policies

  • No sharing contact info to circumvent fees; no moving transactions off-platform; no helping others violate this AUP; no new accounts after suspension; no exploiting loopholes

4. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

Clients must:

  • Provide accurate project descriptions; pay promptly; communicate professionally; respect Talent; provide constructive feedback; honor agreed terms; report issues through Platform channels

Talent must:

  • Accurately represent skills and availability; deliver quality work; meet deadlines; communicate proactively; request reasonable payment; maintain confidentiality; be responsive

Both must:

  • Communicate respectfully; resolve disputes professionally; use Platform dispute mechanisms; maintain professional boundaries; protect confidential information

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Use only content you have rights to; respect copyright, trademarks, and patents; obtain permissions for third-party content; honor confidentiality and NDAs. Clients and Talent should clearly agree on work product ownership in contracts.

6. DATA AND PRIVACY

Do not collect or share user data without permission; do not use data for unauthorized purposes; do not access or retain data beyond what is necessary. Protect confidential information and honor NDAs.

7. PAYMENT AND FINANCIAL CONDUCT

Charge reasonable agreed rates; submit accurate invoices; process legitimate payments only; report issues truthfully; maintain accurate records. No fraudulent transactions, chargeback abuse, stolen payment methods, money laundering, tax evasion, or false payment claims.

8. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

Keep passwords secure; enable two-factor authentication when available; report suspicious activity; log out from shared devices. Do not share credentials, attempt to hack or breach security, or access accounts without authorization.

9. REPORTING VIOLATIONS

Use the Platform "Report" feature or contact abuse@hyrist.com. Provide detailed information and evidence. Reports should be in good faith; false reports may result in account action.

10. ENFORCEMENT

We may review activity, request information, temporarily restrict access during investigation, and preserve evidence. Violations may result in warning, temporary suspension, permanent termination, content removal, forfeiture of payments, legal action, or ban from new accounts. We consider severity, frequency, impact, and user history. Appeals: contact appeals@hyrist.com with explanation and documentation; we will review within 14 business days.

11. COOPERATION WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT

We may report illegal activity, provide information pursuant to legal process, preserve evidence, and testify when required.

12. DISCLAIMER

This AUP provides examples but is not exhaustive. Hyrist reserves the right to determine what constitutes a violation and take appropriate action.

13. CHANGES

We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification.
